CV Arts 2017 Membership – President’s Letter
Greetings to All – President’s Message from Lisa Adams
On behalf of the Board of Directors I would like to thank the CV Arts Membership that continues to support the diverse programs and events offered by the Columbia Valley Arts Council. The purchase of a membership demonstrates a strong show of commitment to the continued operations of our organization and is an essential component for ongoing search for grants and other funding. We are pleased to announce the further funding support of the District of Invermere with a 3-year contract and a new 5-year contract with Regional District of East Kootenay.
We would like to thank Tinhorn Creek Wines and Bob & Barb Shaunessy for making it possible to once again offer the ‘Vineyard Get Away’ gift to use for our Membership Campaign.
With the purchase or renewal of your membership, your name will go into a draw to win a “Vineyard Get Away” package courtesy of Tinhorn Creek Wines in Oliver, BC
The draw will take place at the Mountain Mosaic Festival of Arts on July 1st. Attendance is not a prerequisite but we hope you will join us for this wonderful Canada Day family event at Kinsmen Beach
One entry per membership (individual, family or corporate). Complimentary and youth memberships do not qualify for the draw.
Remember to purchase or renew your membership “Early”

Thanks For Your Continued Support
Once again we are most appreciative of the Fee for Service Agreement with the District of Invermere, with $22,000 committed this year. And the support from the Regional District of East Kootenay for their annual contribution. This support helps greatly in CV Arts’ aim to grow our arts and culture scene.
CV Arts continues to work closely with DOI and RDEK representatives on championing a performance venue as part of the new Columbia Valley Activity Centre. We ask for your ongoing support, particularly in approaching your local representative regarding the importance of this new facility.
Finally, we are extending our special donation appeal from our Pynelogs Centennial campaign. If you enjoy the events and activities we provide in course of the year, please consider making a donation in addition to your membership fees to support our initiatives. Our funding is derived from memberships, grants, sponsorships, special events, donations, facilities rental and ticket sales – you do make a difference in our efforts to continue to enhance the cultural environment of the Valley.
For those of you that have an investment portfolio, we have implemented a Stock Donation process that offers significant tax advantages. Please contact Jami at (250) 342.4423 for details.
I look forward to seeing you at a CV Arts event this year! Our updated website (columbiavalleyarts.com) makes it much easier to check out what’s happening so you don’t miss anything. If you would like to receive reminders of upcoming events, please contact Jami (250) 342-4423 to be added to our email distribution list.
