| July 22 to Aug 3 | Honoring a “Retrospective” of local potter: Pauline Newhouse Artist Retrospective Celebration: July 21
I’ve enjoyed another year in my “Clay Studio” creating functional as well as sculptural pieces. My gas-fired kiln has been performing exceptionally well. It has been producing interesting colours in the stoneware glazes. I fire to cone 9 ½ (2350 F) in a “reducing” atmosphere and use various oxides over basic white and a scrap glaze. My sculptural pieces are mostly unglazed on the exterior and are burnished with iron oxide.”
Please join us in celebrating the successes of our talented local potter on Monday July 21st at 7 pm. |
