| July 22 – August 3 | BC in a Box: FingerPlay The Potters Guild of BC is once again planning a traveling exhibition featuring 50 pieces of its members’ work, each no larger than 6”x6”x6”. This juried exhibition, BC in a Box - ‘Finger Play’, will travel throughout the province during the months of April – December 2008. Each participant will supply one piece of work, a colour image, and information about their process, etc. This exhibition will offer an exciting opportunity to celebrate and share with the public the diversity of current ceramic practices. CV Arts will also be honoring a “Retrospective” of long time local potter, Pauline Newhouse. |

| August 3 | Columbia Valley Arts Tour A maximum of six venues will be chosen within the area from Radium to Dutch Creek (Fairmont). Each site will showcase a number of artists’ work in a variety of art forms as well as demonstrations or performing arts. Columbia Valley artists will be contacted to apply to participate in the Tour and their work will be juried by a committee of CV Arts. The day will conclude with a reception at Pynelogs Cultural Centre in Invermere. Performing artists, a gallery show, tours of the botanical garden and creative refreshments are planned for this late afternoon gathering on the shore of Lake Windermere.
