Two thousand nineteen marks the 105th Birthday of Pynelogs Cultural Centre and Columbia Valley Arts Council’s 42nd year of fostering the growth, awareness and appreciation of the ARTS in the Columbia Valley.

Formally registered in 1976 under the BC Societies Act, Columbia Valley Arts Council grew out of the combined efforts of local artists with representatives of the Museum, a Choir and supporters of the Kootenay Chamber Orchestra, to coordinate all such activities in the valley from Canal Flats to Spillimacheen.

CV Arts is the regional arts and cultural society that promotes and encourages all forms of art and music in the Columbia Valley.

From modest beginnings oriented to facilitating communication between local artists it has grown to where it now provides festivals, concerts, independent film series, art tours, workshops and over 15 art exhibitions each year at the beautifully situated Pynelogs Cultural Centre.

The Columbia Valley Arts Council is conveniently located at the Pynelogs Building, on the shores of Lake Windermere, in Invermere, BC.
